NEWS: D31 GRADUATE SHOW 2022

In late November, Holly was selected to feature in D31 Art Gallery’s graduate exhibition with her second year project ‘Souviens-toi de Moi’.

The project is an exploration of grief through evocative objects; objects which hold significance due to the circumstances in which they enter our lives. Inspired by folklore, symbolism and Memento Mori’s, ‘Souviens-toi de Moi’ allows the audience to reflect on their own thoughts and feelings and attempts to aid a more open discussion around grief and loss. While the project is a collection of self portraits, the aversion of the gaze aims to bring the audience into the image, and thus the conversation, providing a space for the audience to relate through their own experiences.

The exhibition is available to view at the Scot Lane Gallery, Doncaster, from Wednesday to Sunday 10am-4pm until the 14th January 2023. Alternatively, you can view the online exhibition here. Holly would like to thank the D31 Art Gallery for their continued support.
