NEWS: D31 Autumn Exhibition and Photography Prize Update

Holly has had two pieces selected to feature in D31 Art Gallery’s 2022 Autumn Exhibition, running online and in their gallery on Scot Lane, Doncaster, until December 15th. These pieces feature the Cornish coastline at its best, celebrating the change of season and the interconnectedness between seasonal and life cycles.

‘Equinox’, shot during the 2021 Autumnal Equinox, one of just two moments in the year where both day and night are equal. The equinox marks the passing of summer and the entering of a season of transition and new stage in life.

‘The Last of Heather’s Bloom’, shot in the final days of summer, provides the viewer with a final glance of Common Heather in full bloom before autumn takes hold. A pivotal reminder that like nature, our lives go through cycles of growth, harvest, death and rebirth.

You can view the exhibition online here. Alternatively, head to the gallery on Scot Lane, Doncaster, Wednesday-Sunday, 10am-4pm; to view the work in person. Both pieces are one-off, original prints and are available to purchase through D31 Art Gallery.

If left unsold, these originals will be available to purchase directly from Holly in 2023!

Alongside this exhibition, Holly was also shortlisted for the D31 2022 Photography prize and her piece entitled ‘looking back while moving forward’ is now on display in the Photography Prize exhibition. This exhibition is also running until December 15th. You can read more about the image and the Photography Prize here!
